Effective Dutch writing skills course for clear and impactful communication
Does your target group understand your organization’s letters and documents? Does your report convince your colleagues? Do your documents lead to the desired policy changes? A well-written text is customer-friendly, convinces the reader of your vision, and inspires action.
During this Dutch writing skills course, you will practise formulating your documents in polished Dutch, under the guidance of an expert. Also, you will learn how to structure your letters and reports using clear sentences and understandable conclusions. We can also develop and implement a writing style for your documents, including spelling rules and sample texts.
Beginners and advanced students can participate in the Dutch Writing Skills Course.
Method and programme:
- Comprehensive intake and custom learning plan
During the intake interview, which is held before each course, we will jointly determine your learning objectives and identify any writing problems. This inventory is based in part on your own documents. You will also take a short test. We will use the information obtained during the intake interview to develop a custom learning plan for your organisation, including the goals and the recommended work method. - Practical programme
During the course, we prefer to use documents from the participant’s daily work. This offers the chance to combine training and practice. The course focuses on learning by doing, with the theory used only as support. Participants will receive detailed feedback on their texts, which they can use to make the necessary changes. As a result, this course generates immediate results.
Specific attention will be devoted to:
- Keeping a text readable and interesting
- Distinguishing between primary and secondary issues
- Creating logical sentences, paragraphs and chapters
- Formulating clear conclusions and action points
Syllabus
During the course, participants will receive a clear syllabus with relevant examples and directions. Furthermore, it explicates the vision and target group of the course.
Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate of participation after the course.
